Com 2 brasileiros e 5 cinturões em jogo, o Phoenix Muaythai aterrizou em Phuket para mais uma edição, sua 2ª na Tailândia com algumas lutas que poderiam facilmente ser as principais nos estádios em Bangkok.
O primeiro a lutar foi Carlão Prates que teve uma noite tranquila e passou sem muitos problemas Jacob Ginter nocauteando o americano no 2º round.
Já Lobo enfrentou Taksila Chor Hapayak pelo cinturão 140lb (63,5kg) do Phoenix. O brasileiro foi o agressor durante todo o combate, mas o tailandês conseguiu se defender bem na longa distância e quando clinchado, conseguia desequilibrar Lobo aplicando boas quedas.
Apesar da vantagem para Taksila a luta foi parelha. Lobo ainda acelerou atrás no 5º round, mas Taksila absorveu bem os golpes vencendo por pontos e defendendo seu título do Phoenix.
Na luta principal o principal nome do evento, Youssef Boughanem, enfrentou Payakdam ExtraColeFilm que não ofereceu muita resistência. Claramente menor, o tailandês sofreu com a diferença de tamanho e força, e após sofrer duros chutes nos braços, o árbitro interveio paralisando o combate no 3º round. Youssef segue como campeão do Phoenix e IBF muaythai até 160lb (72,5kg).
As outras duas lutas principais foram as revanches entre Phetwasorn, que vencera uma decisão apertada contra Gaonar, mas acabou derrotado dessa vez. Já Seksan contra Rodlek haviam se enfrentado 8 vezes, porém o último encontro foi vencido por Seksan que defendeu seu cinturão

Bringing two Brazilians and five belts, Phoenix Muaythai landed in Phuket for another edition, their 2nd in Thailand with some fights that could easily be Bangkok stadiums main events.
Carlos Prates didn’t have much trouble knocking out the American Jacob Ginter in the 2nd round.
Julio Lobo faced Taksila Chor Hapayak for the 140lb (63.5kg) Phoenix belt. The Brazilian was the aggressor during the fight, but the Thai managed to be effective in the long distance and when clinched could spin and throw Lobo.
After 4 rounds, despite the advantage for Taksila the fight was close. Lobo pushed the pace in the 5th round, but Taksila managed to avoid everything winning points and defending his Phoenix title.
The main fight brought the main name of Phoenix Muaythai, Youssef Boughanem. He faced Payakdam ExtraColeFilm, that did not offer much resistance. Clearly smaller, the Thai struggled with the size and power difference, and after suffering heavy kicks in the arms, he turned his back and the referee stopped the fight in the 3rd round. Youssef still Phoenix and IBF champion 160lb (72.5kg).
The other two main fights we got Thai vs Thai rematches. First one was between Phetwasorn, who had won a tight decision against Gaonar few months ago. This time Gaonar put a better perfomance and didn’t give any space for doubts earning a Phoenix title. Seksan fought Rodlek around 8 times, and last saturday was agains Seksan’s night, where he won on points and got a WBC world title.
